Care:
A glass or acrylic container is enough as housing. Use coco chips mixed with humus as the base substrate, and add dead leaves (beech and oak) and a few pieces of wood or bark. Armadillidium vulgare prefer a slightly drier environment; simply keep one corner of the terrarium damp. The temperature should be kept between 20 and 25ºC.
Feeding:
Like all isopods, Armadillidium vulgare are decomposers and feed on decaying organic matter. Provide decaying wood and leaves, as well as mushrooms, cucumber and carrot.
