Our Origins
Like any other enthusiast, I've always felt the difficulties associated with the peculiarities of this "small big world." Whether it was about information, specialized products, or quality food, the options were, for a long time, quite scarce at the national level.
In this sense, and with the goals of sharing knowledge and providing the most modern products and superior quality food, Vivum was born in August 2015.
Initially more focused on live food (insects), we have been expanding our catalog over the years to cover all the needs of the hobby. Since 2017, we've had a growing range, both in variety and quality, of specialized products for terrarium keeping and terrarium animals. In early 2021, we also introduced a varied and excellent quality range of frozen food to complement our offering.

As a company with a strong online presence, we know that providing quality products is only half the journey. Efficient delivery and customer service are extremely important, especially when dealing with live and/or frozen food.
Over the years, we have studied and perfected our shipping and packaging methods, from choosing the most reliable logistics partners to the isothermal packaging in which we send your order. Everything is designed to optimize order processing and ensure that you receive products in the best possible condition.
We offer various shipping options for Portugal, Spain, and the rest of Europe, with a Live/Frozen Delivery Guarantee that ensures the quality of our most sensitive products. For greater convenience, we also offer the option of in-person pick-up at our facilities in Vila Nova de Gaia.
We understand that things don't always go as planned, so we maintain a responsive and available customer support service both to solve problems and to clarify any doubts, simply by contacting us through our communication channels.
Our Structure
Having started as a dream in a small storage room, Vivum now has three employees and modern, complete facilities, designed with Quality, Hygiene, Efficiency, and Customer Service in mind.
We have climate-controlled chambers for maintaining and breeding live food, thousands of liters of freezing and deep-freezing capacity for the preservation of frozen food, and a warehouse with more than a thousand specialized product references.
We continuously introduce new quality products and brands at affordable prices, with a shipping policy that includes free shipping for orders over €75 in mainland Portugal and Spain. We also maintain a commitment to sustainable practices, seeking to minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
